Győri goalie Mészáros Ákos winner trophy for best goalie of the U15 tournament in Prague!

First april’s weekend was our next U16 category on prestigious U15 (players born year 2004 and younger) Jiří Barák’s memorial tournament. The organizator was one of the most famous czech hockey club HC Slávia Praha. On tournament were five teams (Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC vs Rytíri Kladno, HK Gladiators Trnava, HC Sparta Praha and home team HC Slávia Praha) and game system was everyone with everyone. Every game had 3×20 min like normal match. For our team was this action great opportunity to gain new experiences, inspirations and playing against top czech and slovak teams.

Results of the Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC:

2019.04.06 Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC vs Rytíri Kladno 2:8 (0:4,0:4,2:0)

Jaromir Jagr’s youth team was complete match better. We had a problem with catch the tempo of the game. In quality was big difference. In the last period Kladno played little bit weak and we shoted two goals. Our win in last period was good motivation to the next game.

2019.04.06 Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC vs HK Gladiators Trnava 4:8

I am not satisfied with this result. When we leading 3:1 and we have three times open net, we must shot the goal. Unfortunately in last period had Trnava more power and took the win.

2019.04.07 HC Sparta Praha vs. Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC  5:2

We had a great start against Sparta. Main refree stopped our good tempo with strange decisions. Sparta did in last period unreal pressure to the our net and won. Was our best game in tournament.

2019.04.07 HC Slávia Praha vs. Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC 13:2

Last game against winner of the tournament was really hard. We had only two hours for regeneration after the game against Sparta and it was seen. Positive was our game with heart to the end.

Finally ranking: 1. HC Slávia Praha 2. Rytíri Kladno 3. HC Sparta Praha 4. HK Gladiators Trnava 5. Győri NEMAK-DANA ETO HC.

Andrej Péter (head coach): ,,We must respect some facts! Our team was first time together with the new players from try out only now and played also without injured players from last season.  Positive sides were for example our new players. They played really good and is here space for developement. Also some our players played best hockey in this season like Mészáros Ákos,  winner trophy for the best goalie of the tournament. Like a team we represented our club and city well and we have nothing to be ashamed.”
